Clan Thank Fans for Strong Turnout at Own & Loan Handback Event

The Glasgow Clan would like to extend a sincere thank you to all supporters who attended last night’s Own & Loan Handback event at Braehead Arena.

It was fantastic to welcome so many members of the Purple Army back to the Arena for a special evening that celebrates one of the most unique connections between players and fans. The event offered supporters the opportunity to meet the players, chat with them, and – most importantly – be reunited with their Own & Loan jerseys following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

The Own & Loan scheme remains a standout initiative that brings fans closer to the team than ever before. At the beginning of the season, supporters select and purchase a specific player’s jersey, which is then officially handed over for that player to wear throughout the campaign. From the first puck drop to the final whistle, those jerseys become part of the on-ice story — worn during key moments, big wins, and hard-fought battles across the season.

At the end of the campaign, the jerseys are returned to their owners, often carrying the marks and memories of the season they’ve been part of.

Last night’s handback event brought that journey full circle. Supporters had the chance to receive their jerseys directly from the players who wore them, adding a personal touch to an already meaningful experience. The atmosphere inside Braehead Arena reflected the strong bond between the team and its fans, with plenty of smiles, conversations, and photo opportunities throughout the evening.

Events like this highlight what makes the Clan community so special. The passion and loyalty shown by supporters continues to play a huge role in driving the team forward, both on and off the ice.
