Friday 27 March marked the third anniversary of the passing of hugely respected and much-loved Thistle supporter Denise Murray.
To keep her memory alive, Denise’s family and friends created a memorial award in 2024 that recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual or group to the club or its wider community.
The first award was presented to Charlene O’Hara in 2024, with the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust receiving the award last year.
This year, the Denise Murray Memorial Award was presented to Jordan Kerr at Saturday’s match against Dunfermline.
Jordan, from Drumchapel, was recognised for his exceptional bravery and presence of mind after helping to save a young child’s life at Drumchapel railway station earlier this year.
Responding to a cry for help, he carried out CPR for more than ten minutes until paramedics arrived, using first aid skills learned through the Army Cadet Force.
15-year-old Jordan’s actions have been widely praised and stand as a powerful example of courage, compassion and community spirit in action.

Jordan was presented with the award by Denise’s daughters Heather and Kirsty.
Everyone at Partick Thistle extends our sincere congratulations to Jordan and our thanks to the Murray family for their continued support.
