After being named in the PFA Scotland Championship Team of the Year last week alongside teammates Ben McPherson and Alex Samuel, Ben Stanway has now also been nominated for the PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year award.
The Partick Thistle Youth Academy graduate has enjoyed a stellar campaign in red and yellow with 29 appearances and seven goals to his name in the league alone, playing a huge part in Thistle’s push for promotion.
Having surpassed 100 first team appearances for the Jags this term, 21-year-old Ben has produced a number of important moments over the course of the season including a comeback-starting close-range finish against Greenock Morton and impressive winners against Ayr United and Airdrieonians at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
With the club’s Player of the Year prize already on his mantelpiece, Ben is now in the mix to add league-wide recognition to his accolades and everyone at the club wishes him the best of luck for the PFA Scotland awards night!
