One Team In Glasgow documentary coming soon to STV Player

“There’s only one team in Glasgow!” – and Thistle supporters will tell the world why in a new fan-focussed four-part documentary series coming to free streaming service STV Player this month.

For 150 years our very special football club has stood the test of time as a welcoming and community-driven Glasgow alternative with a red and yellow army of devoted fans coming back, season after season, drawn by something deeper than trophies.

Directed by multi-Emmy nominee Sam Neave (THE JINX) and Exec Produced by Academy Award winner Charles B Wessler (GREEN BOOK), this is the story of one team in Glasgow and our tireless fanbase.

Sam led his documentary team to north-west Glasgow and to stadiums large and small across Scotland for the duration of season 2024/25 where they enjoyed unprecedented access to a Scottish football club, no holds barred. Filmed behind-the-scenes from the dressing rooms to the boardrooms, between the pubs and the terraces, the result is an emotional rollercoaster journey of that season, now released in four x 45-minute highly charged episodes going live on STV Player on Wednesday 20 May.

Sam Neave said: “The experience of making this show has been one of the highlights of my career and I’m so excited to be able to share it with the world. We captured something that I hope will speak not only to football fans but to anyone who’s ever cared about something a bit too much.”

A Nest Productions Scotland production, from Nest’s Glasgow base, One Team in Glasgow is a heartfelt, and often hilarious, insight to a truly unique Scottish football institution currently celebrating its 150th anniversary year.
