The Glasgow Clan is pleased to confirm that Finnish defenceman Miihkali Teppo has signed a contract extension ahead of the 2026/27 Elite League season.
Teppo returns to Glasgow following an impressive first season with the Clan, where he quickly established himself as a dependable presence on the blue line through his consistency, composure, and willingness to put his body on the line for the team.
Quietly going about his business night after night, the Finnish defenceman became a key part of the Clan defence core during the 2025/26 campaign, earning the trust of teammates and supporters alike with a series of disciplined and hard-working performances.
Across 67 appearances in all competitions, Teppo recorded three goals and 12 assists, while also finishing the season with an impressive +17 rating.
Known for his strong positional play and shot-blocking ability, the 33-year-old played an important role at both even strength and on the penalty kill throughout the season.
Speaking on his return to Glasgow, Teppo said:
“By the end of the season, I knew I wanted to come back to the Clan. I want us to have a better overall season next year, and I believe we have all the tools to become a regular top four team. I want to be part of that and help create a winning culture in Glasgow.
The city and everyone around the organisation — the staff, fans, and players — have all been amazing. I’m really excited for next season.”
