Important Announcement for All Supporters

Essential maintenance work currently being carried out at Bayview Stadium means that a change of seating arrangements has been put in place ahead of the start of the new season.

Visitors to Harbour View this week will have seen that a scaffolding platform has been erected outside the stadium, giving contractors access to the stand roof where repairs are required.

The first part of the work should be complete before the first competitive home match of the season on Tuesday 14 July, when Greenock Morton are our visitors in the Premier Sports Cup (kick-off 7:45pm).

In the ‘home’ end of the stadium, Sections, A, B, C and D will be closed until repairs have been completed. Instead, all East Fife supporters will be accommodated in what is normally the ‘away’ side of the stand, in Sections G, H and J.

Season ticket holders will be contacted as soon as possible with details of their re-located seat, and every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience.

Visiting fans will be allocated Section K, at the far end of the stand (Dubbieside). Visiting teams will be restricted to a total of 245 tickets – the full capacity of Section K – plus four wheelchair places. Visiting clubs will be contacted to alert them to the situation, and tickets will be made available for sale to visiting fans online, as usual.

Supporters will enter the stadium via separate ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ turnstiles, and separate catering facilities will be provided for each set of fans. Toilet facilities will be shared by both sets of fans.

These alternative arrangements are in place for all home matchesuntil further notice.

The new family section for East Fife supporters will be housed in Section H, and there will be places for wheelchair users at the front of each section of seating.

The dug-outs, technical areas and seating in Sections E and F are not affected. Hospitality arrangements in the lounges continue as normal, as does access to the front desk, the elevator and the Bayview Bar on the ground floor. Access to the club shop and ticket office at the main entrance, and to the car parks at each end of the stadium, is also unaffected.

East Fife Football Club apologises to supporters for the inconvenience caused by these arrangements. The board of directors was unaware of the magnitude of the maintenance work required at the stadium until a full inspection was carried out by consultant engineers in June, and club officials took immediate steps to address the issue and draw up contingency plans.

At present, there is no indication of when all necessary repairs will be complete, and further information will be provided as soon as it is available.

We thank supporters for their patience and understanding at this challenging time.
