Glasgow Clan Complete 2026/27 Roster with Signing of Danish International David Madsen

The Glasgow Clan is delighted to confirm the signing of Danish international forward David Madsen, who becomes the club’s final addition ahead of the 2026/27 Elite League season.

The 27-year-old joins the Clan following spells with Västerås IK in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan and EHC Winterthur in the Swiss League, bringing international experience and versatility to Mike Sirant’s squad.

Standing at 6ft 2in and weighing 196lbs, Madsen arrives in Glasgow after spending the opening part of last season with EHC Winterthur, where he recorded 27 points (6 goals, 21 assists) in 40 appearances.

A regular on the international stage, Madsen has represented Denmark over the past four years, gaining valuable experience against some of Europe’s top hockey nations. His combination of size, skill and hockey IQ makes him another exciting addition to the Clan’s forward group.

Speaking after signing with the club, Madsen said:

“I’m really excited to join the Clan. From the first conversations, it felt like the right fit, and I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, my teammates and getting to work. My goal is to compete every day, contribute what I can for team success, and make this a season everyone can be proud of.”

Madsen will wear #82 during the 2026/27 season and completes the Clan’s roster ahead of the new campaign.

With the squad now finalised, excitement continues to build as the Purple Army prepares to return to Braehead Arena for another exciting Elite League season.

Supporters will get their first opportunity to see Madsen in Clan colours during the club’s pre-season schedule before the Elite League campaign gets underway in September.
