The start of March signalled the start of a demanding post-split, top six campaign for Partick Thistle WFC. It has been a challenge that Gary Holt’s squad have tackled with real desire and that is reflected in the four nominees for the March McArthur Scott Player of the Month award.
This month’s quartet are:
Olivia King
The hard working, tenacious midfielder really found her goalscoring touch in March. An excellent touch and finish brought her, her first goal of the season against Hearts after a surging run down the right from Rosie Slater. That goal was followed by a fantastic free kick against Celtic that so nearly earned Thistle a deserved point against Celtic.
It’s not just been Olivia’s goalscoring exploits that stood out in March. She has taken on the challenge of establishing herself as a regular starter in Gary Holt’s side.
Cheryl McCulloch
Cheryl has had a front row seat in the growth of Partick Thistle WFC over the last few seasons and has now been part of three Thistle squads that have secured a top six finish.
She has now passed the 100 appearance mark as a Thistle player and her full commitment and never-say-die approach is as apparent now as it was at appearance number one. One of the more experienced players within the squad the standards she sets by example and influence she has is of massive importance.
Sienna McGoldrick
Sienna has only been a Partick Thistle player for a short period of time but her talent was obvious from her very first, match winning, performance against Hamilton Academical where her goal secured top-six football or the Jags.
She showed that talent against Glasgow City and Herts and it has been such that she has now established herself as a regular in the Scotland Under 19 squad.

Erin Rennie
In her first season as a Partick Thistle WFC player after completing a summer move from Spartans, Erin has established herself as a near permanent fixture in the Thistle squad.
Her performances across the season have been a model of consistency and she has contributed five goals from midfield. The most recent of which was a quite stunning strike against Celtic.
