Message from the 150th Anniversary Working Group on the Anniversary Lunch | Partick Thistle FC

The Partick Thistle 150th Anniversary Lunch took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow City Centre on Sunday 1st March and we can confidently say it was a huge success.

Attended by almost 500 Thistle-minded guests, the event was superbly hosted by Cat Harvey and legendary Thistle SuperSub Des McKeown, wonderfully supported by Michael Max, who spoke beautifully about Robert Reid and John Lambie.

We thank the Right Honorable The Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren who opened the event, as well as current Head Coach Mark Wilson and General Manager Graham McRoberts, both of whom also spoke.

All who were there would agree that Cat and Des did a fabulous job, interviewing – and managing!- a host of Thistle Legends throughout the afternoon, providing loads of laughs along the way, and on behalf of the Anniversary Working group and all of us at Partick Thistle, we offer our sincerest thanks.

Our thanks also go out to all of the Thistle Legends – former players and managers – who came along and chatted with fans throughout the afternoon, as well as being interviewed on stage by Cat and Des, ensuring a memorable afternoon for all.

It was an afternoon which perfectly celebrated the 150th Anniversary of this great club and thanks to everyone who came along to share it with us.
