Oisin Smyth has rejoined the club on a two-year contract, subject to Scottish FA clearance.

The 26-year-old midfielder is back in Maryhill following an incredibly successful loan spell last season wherein he played 29 times and scored four goals for Mark Wilson’s Jags.

Smyth makes the permanent switch from St. Mirren where he’d been since the summer of 2024, featuring 32 times for the Paisley side.

A Northern Irish youth international, he also lists Dungannon Swifts, Oxford United and Solihull Moors among his former clubs.

Thistle Head Coach Mark Wilson said:

“I don’t think I need to convince any Thistle fans about this particular signing. Oisin was a massive part of what we were able to do last season and it’s a real boost to have him back for good.

“He has a strong presence in the middle of the park, a tremendous range of passing and also had the knack of popping up with some timely goals which were directly responsible for getting points on the board.

“Not only is he a supremely talented player but he’s also one who fits our style of play brilliantly and that makes it a very exciting deal to get over the line.”
