Ethan Ingram returns on permanent deal

Ethan Ingram has signed for the club on a two-year deal, subject to Scottish F.A. clearance.

The 23-year-old defender returns to Firhill following a successful loan spell at the back end of last season during which he featured 10 times without tasting defeat.

Winner of the club’s Defensive Moment of the Season award for his goal line block in injury time against Greenock Morton at Cappielow, Ingram’s season was ended prematurely when he picked up an injury just before the play-offs.

His Thistle story will continue in the 2026/27 campaign following his departure from Dundee earlier this summer at the end of two years in the City of Discovery.

Jags Head Coach Mark Wilson said:

“Ethan was an excellent addition to our squad at the end of February; he got to grips with the way we play very quickly and showed versatility as part of the defence so to have him back again is terrific.

“He’s got the physicality to excel in the Championship but also the ability to work within our system and that gives him the platform to be a really important player for us.

“I was gutted for him when he missed the play-offs in May due to injury but he’ll have plenty of time to make up for that now this year. There’ll be a little bit of catching up to do in terms of pre-season but I’m sure he’ll be ready to go before too long.”
