Clan Add Rookie Centreman Josh Tarzwell For First Professional Season

The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian centreman Josh Tarzwell for the 2026/27 Elite League season.

The 26-year-old arrives in Glasgow ahead of his first professional campaign following a successful five-year career with the Mount Royal University Cougars in USports.

A native of Alberta, Tarzwell established himself as one of the Cougars’ most consistent offensive performers, recording 92 points (47 goals, 45 assists) in 102 appearances during his time with the programme.

Standing at 6ft 1in, the left-shot forward is a well-rounded player who combines size, skill and professionalism with a physical edge. A big power forward, Tarzwell isn’t afraid to finish his checks, compete hard in all three zones and create offence around the net, making him an exciting addition to the Clan lineup as he prepares to make the transition to the professional ranks for the first time.

Tarzwell is excited to begin the next chapter of his hockey career in Glasgow and is looking forward to experiencing life in the Elite League.

Speaking after agreeing terms with the Clan, Tarzwell said:

I’ve been told the fans in Glasgow are terrific and that it’s a great city to live in. I’ll bring my work ethic and a high level of care night in and night out. I can’t wait to get started over there.

Director of Hockey Operations Zach Vinnell believes Tarzwell has all the attributes required to make a successful transition into the professional game.
