At the heart of Balgowan is Head Chef and founder, Chris Hazelton, who brings a wealth of experience from some of Scotland’s leading hospitality venues.
After rising through the ranks of some of the country’s best kitchens, Chris became Executive Chef at Peebles Hydro in 2015. His career then took him to The Rookery at Carnoustie before joining the prestigious St Andrews Links, where he oversaw both kitchen and front-of-house operations as Head of Food and Beverage.
In 2018, Chris was honoured by his peers with induction into the Master Chefs of Great Britain, recognising his talent, leadership and contribution to the hospitality industry.
