All at Partick Thistle Football Club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong Thistle fan Eddie Reid at the age of 90.

The thoughts and condolences of all connected to the club are with Eddie’s family and close friends at this difficult time.

Eddie passed away last week following a long battle with illness having maintained his season ticket with the club and been a life long fan for 80 years.

He would often share stories of his entire Thistle watching life, but the obvious highlight for Eddie was the style of football under David McParland’s leadership and being in attendance on the famous day at Hampden Park in 1971 for our iconic League Cup victory against Celtic.

Rest in peace Eddie Reid. Once a Jag, always a Jag.
