The Glasgow Clan are delighted to confirm that Scottish forward Alex Forbes will return to the club for a fourth consecutive season ahead of the 2026/27 Elite League campaign.
Since arriving in Glasgow, Forbes has become a firm fan favourite both on and off the ice thanks to his relentless compete level, fearless physicality and willingness to do the hard yards for the team every single game.
Whether it’s finishing checks, battling in the corners or making life difficult for the opposition, the Scottish forward has built a reputation as one of the hardest-working players in purple.
Over four seasons with the Clan, Forbes has made a total of 178 appearances for the club and has remained committed through some challenging campaigns, while also playing a key role in last season’s memorable run to the Playoff Finals Weekend in Nottingham.
Speaking on his return to Glasgow, Forbes said:
After the way we finished last season by making the playoff weekend and seeing the support we had from the fans in Nottingham was unbelievable. We want to do that again and improve on last year by lifting that trophy at the end of the year. I can’t wait to get back in Braehead and go to battle every game with the boys. I’m really happy to be back for a fourth season in Glasgow.
Forbes’ passion for the club and connection with the Purple Army has continued to grow year after year, with his commitment and energy making him an important presence inside the dressing room as well as on the ice.
Everyone at the Glasgow Clan would like to welcome Alex back for the 2026/27 season.
