Ross may already be a familiar face to many around Braehead Arena, having been part of the team for several years and working in a number of roles around the ice.
His journey with the Clan and the arena began as an ice steward with the ice centre, giving him an opportunity to work closely with the rink and become a familiar face on game nights. Over time, Ross took on more responsibilities, most recently working as a game night ice technician and playing an important role in ensuring the ice was ready for every Clan fixture.
Away from the ice itself, Ross has also been heavily involved in the Clan’s equipment operation over the past several seasons, assisting with equipment for the team’s away games and gaining valuable experience in the day-to-day demands of working around a professional hockey team.
An avid hockey player himself, Ross has developed a strong understanding of the game and what goes on behind the scenes to support a team. His experience around the rink, combined with his knowledge of hockey and growing involvement with the Clan’s equipment, made the move into an equipment-focused role a natural next step.
I’m incredibly excited and grateful to take on the role of Equipment Manager with the Glasgow Clan. Having been around the club for a long time, I’ve had the privilege of watching it grow, develop, and become such an important part of the hockey community. To now have the opportunity to play a more active role behind the scenes and contribute to the team in this way is something I’m extremely proud of. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead, working alongside everyone at the club, and helping the Clan continue to move forward.

Now, Ross will take on an expanded role with the Clan, putting his experience to work behind the scenes and helping ensure the team has everything it needs both at Braehead Arena and on the road.
From starting out as an ice steward to becoming part of the Clan’s wider hockey operation, Ross’s progression is a great example of the opportunities that exist behind the scenes in professional hockey.
