Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the signing of American defenceman Keaton Pehrson ahead of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season.
The 27-year-old Minnesota native stands at 6ft 2in and weighs 216lbs, adding size, mobility and experience to the Clan blue line as he makes the move to Glasgow.
Pehrson joins the Clan after spending the past two seasons with the Savannah Ghost Pirates in the ECHL, where he became a regular presence on the team’s defence.
During the 2025/26 campaign, the American defenceman featured in 66 games, recording three goals and 14 assists for 17 points, while finishing the season with a +5 rating.
His arrival also reunites Pehrson with Clan Director of Hockey Operations Zach Vinnell, who watched him play in Savannah last season and believes he has significant potential to develop further in Glasgow.
“Keaton is a solid, mobile defenseman who we feel has a lot of upside,” said Vinnell.
“He brings valuable experience from playing at some of the top NCAA programs in the United States, and I had the pleasure of watching him play last season in Savannah.
“He fits our identity and the way we want to play. We’re excited to have Keaton join the Clan.”
Pehrson developed through the US college hockey system before making the move into professional hockey, and will now experience European hockey for the first time as he begins a new chapter with the Clan.
