A Partick Thistle Under 19s side will be taking on an Alba FA all-gaelic representative team in the inaugural Johnny MacKenzie Cup next month.
Taking place on Sunday, 11th October, the cup is named after club hall-of-famer Johnny MacKenzie, known as ‘The Firhill Flyer’, who played 259 times as a Jag and was the only native Gaelic speaker to have played for Scotland.
Now, as part of The Royal National Mòd, an annual festival of Gaelic language, music and culture, we have come together with Alba FA to celebrate MacKenzie’s memory.
The game will be played at Petershill Park with a 1pm kick-off and tickets are on sale online now at £10 for adults and £5 for children.
