Partick Thistle Youth Academy graduate Liam Dolan has joined Lowland League West side Albion Rovers on a loan deal until January, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
The 17-year-old defender has made three first team appearances for the Jags so far, most recently off the bench against Forfar Athletic during last month’s Premier Sports Cup group stages.
When he made his senior debut against Livingston in May 2025, Dolan became the youngest competitive appearance maker in club history having turned 16 less than a month prior.
Liam now heads to Cliftonhill Stadium in search of regular minutes playing under former Jags defender Steven Saunders whose Rovers side continue their league campaign tomorrow against Johnstone Burgh.
Thistle Head Coach Mark Wilson said:
“Liam has been around the first team squad for over a year now and it’s been great to see him developing as time has gone on but we feel it’s the right point for him to get some more senior football to aid his growth.
“Playing competitive matches is the best way to learn and he’s going to be working under a fellow defender who played at a very high level. Hopefully he takes a lot from everything he’s going to experience and comes back a better player for it.”
