Match Report | East Fife v Motherwell B Tuesday 15th September 2026

🏆KDM Evolution Trophy
📍Bayview Stadium
🗓️Tuesday 15th September 2026 | Kick-off: 7:45pm

There was plenty to celebrate at Bayview as East Fife produced an excellent second-half display to sweep aside Motherwell B 4-1 in the KDM Evolution Trophy.

The Fifers made the perfect start, opening the scoring after just seven minutes. Cameron Ross picked up possession on the edge of the penalty area before finding the net with a well-struck right-footed effort.

Motherwell responded quickly, however, with Aaron Buchanan bringing the visitors level. A quick break down the right resulted in a delivery towards the back post, where Buchanan arrived to head home and restore parity.

The sides remained level for the remainder of the opening period, but East Fife emerged for the second half with renewed purpose and soon took complete control of the contest.

The Fifers regained the lead in the 53rd minute after Ross was brought down inside the penalty area. Jack Healy stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and made no mistake to put East Fife 2-1 ahead.

Just three minutes later, Campbell’s side extended their advantage. Healy delivered a deep free-kick into the Motherwell area and Ross rose to head home for his second of the afternoon.

The striker did not have long to wait to complete his hat-trick. Bah was fouled inside the box in the 66th minute, earning East Fife their second penalty of the afternoon. This time Ross took responsibility and confidently converted from 12 yards to complete his treble and make it 4-1.

Three goals in a devastating 13-minute spell after the interval had put the contest beyond Motherwell, with East Fife comfortably seeing out the remainder of the game to secure an emphatic victory.

The result continued the Fifers’ impressive form in the KDM Evolution Trophy following the previous week’s 4-1 victory away to Clyde and once again demonstrated the attacking threat Campbell’s side possess when they hit their stride.
