Help us remember those we have lost

As the 2026/27 season gets underway, Glasgow Clan will once again take a moment to remember members of our hockey family and wider community who have sadly passed away over the past year.

Ahead of puck drop on Sunday 13 September, we will play a special Moment of Remembrance video before the Clan take on the Belfast Giants in the Challenge Cup at Braehead Arena.

We invite members of the Purple Army to submit the names and memories of loved ones they would like us to remember as part of the video.

How to take part

To include a loved one in the Moment of Remembrance, please email:

Your email should include:

• A good quality, ‘happy’ photograph which allows us to extract a ‘head and shoulders’ size image of your loved one

• Name, as you’d like it to appear on our screens

• Year of birth/year passed – eg… 1946 to 2026

• Your own name, contact number and your relationship to the person (in case we have any questions)

Please ensure your submission reaches us by 5pm on Friday 11 September 2026.

The photographs and messages submitted will be brought together into a special video, which will be shown inside Braehead Arena before puck drop on Sunday 13 September.

We know how important it is to remember those who are no longer with us, and we are honoured to give the Purple Army the opportunity to celebrate their lives and keep their memories close as we begin another season together.
