We’re delighted to announce that Partick Thistle Women will return to the WrightKerr Stadium at Firhill as they take on Montrose later this month.
After a bumper crowd and tremendous atmosphere at the tail end of last season as we took on Glasgow City under the lights, Gary Holt’s side return to the Firhill pitch on Sunday 27th September for an important clash in the race for the top six with Montrose the visitors for a 1pm kick-off.
With no men’s fixture that weekend after the postponment of the match against Dunfermline, it’s the perfect way to get your football fix.
It’s been a good start for the women’s side with progression to the Quarter-Finals of the SkySports Cup secured last week adding to good away wins against Aberdeen and an excellent performance against Celtic in front of the BBC cameras.
Previous matches at Firhill have provided plenty of excitement, including a 3–0 victory over Hamilton, followed by a spirited comeback from two goals down to draw with Aberdeen before running Glasgow rivals Glasgow City close in top-six action last season.
Now it’s time for Montrose to come calling where a strong crowd could make all the difference as the team hunt for a fourth top six finish in the last five years.
All under-16s are free of charge and tickets are on sale now.

“The girls are all looking forward to returning to the stadium. The crowd and atmosphere at the end of last season was a special night for them and it really spurred them on to a very good performance against one of the top full-time teams in the country.
“This time out it’s a really important match against Montrose where the crowd can really play their part, so i’m hoping to see as many there as possible”
