Midfielder Scott Martin will leave the club at the end of his contract to join Queen’s Park.

The 29-year-old spent the back of end of the 2025/26 season on loan with Spiders, playing 10 times, and he now makes the intracity switch to the city Stadium permanent.

Martin arrived in Maryhill last February from Hamilton Accies as part of a swap deal involving Scott Robinson, making his Jags debut later that week against Falkirk.

Unfortunately, in just his fifth appearance for the club he suffered a serious knee injury which prematurely ended his season, however, he worked hard and returned ahead of schedule in a Scottish Cup tie against Forfar in November.

Overall, he featured 10 times for Mark Wilson this season before heading to the south side of Glasgow on loan in February, playing a pivotal role in Queen’s Park’s Championship survival.

Thistle Sporting Director Ian Baraclough said:

“Although the club held a one-year extension option on Scott’s contract, it was mutually agreed that we would allow him to move on to Queen’s Park, where he had a successful loan spell, to allow him to get more regular game time after a significant knee injury.

“In two seasons at the football club, Scott proved to be a tenacious, hardworking professional who battled hard to regain full fitness after his injury. He has always been positive around the group.

“Scott leaves with our best wishes and will always be welcomed back to Firhill.”
