Partick Thistle are thrilled to announce the signings of Sienna McGoldick and Darra Dawson on loan from Celtic for the 2026/27 campaign.
McGoldrick arrives back in Red and Yellow after a sucessful spell on loan at the tail-end of last season where she announced herself in Thistle colours with the goal in added time that secured top six football only hours after putting pen to paper on that loan deal. The goal going on to win Goal of the Season at the end of season PTW Awards.
Dawson is a young defender who has already made her first-team debut with the Hoops and found the net with her first senior goal against Hamilton last term.
A natural left footed centre back, Darra also offers versatility across the entirety of the backline, featuring for Celtic at left back on a number of occasions and was noted at the Glasgow club for her ability in attack as well as defence, bringing an exciting addition to Gary Holt’s side ahead of the 26/27 campaign.
Both players have been recently capped as Under-19 level for Scotland and join a host of young talent at Thistle for the upcoming season
After returning Sienna said:
“I loved my spell here at the end of last season so when the chance came to return for next season I jumped at it”
“It’s such a good squad to be part of and you can really see what the manager is trying to build”

Darra said: “I spoke with Sienna and a couple of the other Celtic players who have been here before and they all had great things to say about the club.
“I’m looking to get more minutes and I know this is a club who will give me a chance If I perform so that is what I’ll be looking to do.
“The girls have welcomed me and I can’t wait for the season to start”
Manager Gary Holt said: “Sienna made a big impact at the end of last season. She obviously got that big goal in her debut which showed her quality straight away.
“She kept that quality up against strong opposition so I’m looking forward to being able to work with her over a full season.
“She is another who really fitted into the squad when she was here and she’ll bring that off the pitch as well as on it
“Darra has been in and around the Celtic first team for a number of years but probably needs the opportunity to go and try and play every week, we’ll give her that here.
“She’s another young player with plenty of energy and will get up and down the flank for us and help us in attack as well as defence.
“She knows a lot of the other younger players here so immediately we’ve got that good spirit between the players and that will hopefully translate to the pitch too”
