The Glasgow Clan is delighted to confirm that Canadian goaltender Liam Soulière has signed a contract extension and will return to the club for the 2026/27 Elite League season.

The 27-year-old joined the Clan in January 2026 following a groin injury saw Sami Aittokallio sit out, and quickly established himself as a key figure during the closing stages of the campaign.

Soulière went on to make 15 appearances in purple, recording an impressive 91.32 save percentage while helping backstop the Clan’s late-season push.

Known for his energy, competitiveness, and relentless work ethic, the Canadian netminder made an immediate impression both on and off the ice after arriving in Glasgow.

Head Coach Mike Sirant believes Soulière’s return gives the Clan another important piece ahead of the new season.

“It’s great to have Liam returning for another season in goal for the Clan. He made a big contribution to the team’s late season success with some outstanding game performances. Liam is very professional as he works really hard both on and off the ice to be able to perform at his best.

“He battles in the net and never gives up on a puck in either games or practices. He’s a very energetic, passionate, and competitive person who really wants to win!”

With Soulière now confirmed for next season, the Clan continue to build momentum ahead of the 2026/27 campaign as preparations continue throughout the summer.
