Partick Thistle Women are delighted to announce the signing of 16-year-old defender Teagen Syrjanen who joins from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Dingwall native then made the move to Inverness last season in the Championship where she captained the side on a number of occasions before opting to continue her development in Red and Yellow for the coming campaign.
The highly rated sixteen-year-old has become an important feature away from domestic action, working through the ranks at Boys and Girls Clubs of Scotland (BGCS) of where she most recently captained Scotland School Girls Under-17s in their recent run of ties.
Teagen Said: “I’m really excited to be joining Thistle and make the step up to SWPL1. I’ve seen how much Keira has enjoyed her time at the club so far and I was able to join in a few training sessions last season and it was a great environment to be a part of.
“I’m still young and have a lot to learn still but I think this is the perfect place to do that under the coaches here.
“It’s a proud day for our family and being able to play alongside my sister in the top league is something I can’t wait to do”

Manager Gary Holt commented: “Teagan is very highly rated, and we’re delighted to bring her into Partick Thistle. She took part in some training sessions last season with the family traveling down from Dingwall and she never looked out of place at all alongside a lot of more experienced players.
“For someone so young she has great leadership qualities and will only learn from the experienced defenders already here at the club”
