Thistle Connections set to celebrate Partick Thistles 150th anniversary

As Partick Thistle’s 150th anniversary celebrations continue, supporters will have the chance to enjoy a special day of live music later this summer while raising funds for the club.

Lifelong Jags fan Gary Anderson, who many supporters will know as the manager of Glasgow ska band Esperanza, has organised Thistle Connections, a unique live music event taking place at The Classic Grand on Jamaica Street, Glasgow, on Sunday 2nd August 2026.

The event will bring together a host of talented local artists, with every act on the bill featuring at least one Partick Thistle supporter on stage. Best of all, every penny from ticket sales will go directly to the club.

Doors open at 2pm, with live music running throughout the afternoon and evening before a 10pm curfew.

The lineup confirmed so far includes:

• The Long Shots
• The Alleged
• The Poachers
• Death in the Afternoon
• Neil Sturgeon
• Nathan Beard
• Drew & Mark (The Fast Camels)
• The Azurescens
• Sherry & Houston (Attic Lights)

Further acts will be announced in due course.

Tickets are priced at £20 and are available through Tickets Scotland, with all proceeds going directly to support the club.

Whether you’re a music fan, a Thistle supporter, or both, Thistle Connections promises to be a fantastic celebration of 150 years of Partick Thistle and the community that has supported the club throughout its history.
