Partick Thistle Women are preparing for a landmark evening at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill, with the club set to face Glasgow City FC under the lights on Friday 24th April – as the Jags continue their top-six campaign.
Having secured a place in the top half of the league, the squad is now fully focused on competing against the strongest teams in the division during the split, building on a season defined by resilience, consistency, and collective effort.
Off the pitch, the club is pleased to confirm a new training partnership with McCaskie’s of Wemyss Bay — a family-run business with a long-standing reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
The partnership will support the squad through the remainder of the season, with a particular focus on preparation, recovery, and fuelling performance. With players balancing football alongside work and other commitments, access to high-quality, well-sourced nutrition plays an important role in maintaining standards during this demanding stage of the campaign.
Partick Thistle Women CEO, Caroline Mackie, said: “Reaching the top six was an important milestone for this group, but the focus now is on continuing to compete and push standards during the split.
“Next Friday night at Firhill is a brilliant opportunity for the players to perform on a bigger stage, and we’re looking forward to the occasion.
“We’re also delighted to welcome McCaskie’s as a training partner. Support like this is hugely important for a semi-professional squad, and it will make a real difference as we progress through the final part of the season.”
McCaskie’s, led by Nigel Ovens, has built a strong reputation across Scotland for its award-winning produce and commitment to quality — values that closely align with the standards being set within the Partick Thistle Women’s squad.
As attention turns to Friday night, the focus is firmly on delivering
another strong performance in front of a home crowd, in what promises to
be a special occasion at Firhill.
