Partick Thistle Youth Academy graduate Thomas Horn has signed a one-year contract extension at Firhill, with the club holding the option to extend for a further season.

The 19-year-old striker spent the back half of last season with Cumbernauld Colts where he scored nine goals and won the Lowland League Cup.

Also having had loan experience at Cumbernauld United and Peterhead, Horn made his competitive debut for the Jags against Edinburgh City in the Premier Sports Cup last July and went on to feature in all four group stage games before making his league debut against St. Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

Thistle Head Coach Mark Wilson said:

“Having worked with Thomas in the under 18s and the first team, he’s a player who I think has a lot of the attributes you need to make it as a striker at senior level. He’s physical, determined and gets himself in the right areas for easy goals.

“He got plenty of useful experience last season out on loan, firstly getting a taste of League 1 football with Peterhead and then playing more regularly at Cumbernauld Colts where he was a consistent scorer.

“He’ll need to keep working hard when we get back for pre-seasonbut he’s got two excellent, experienced strikers to learn from and I’m confident that he’s got a bright future ahead of him.”
