Partick Thistle Youth Academy product Connor Storey has signed a one-year contract with the club and made an emergency loan move to Lowland League West side Pollok.
Storey was on the bench for Stewart Maxwell’s side on Saturday as they beat Troon 2-0 and will remain with them for tomorrow night’s game against Renfrew.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper featured against the Lok in our friendly at Newlandsfield Park last month and also played a part off the bench against Kilbirnie Ladeside four days later at Petershill.
A regular for our Under 19s last season, Connor started 18 of 22 games in the CAS Performance division as Gary Irvine’s side finished second.
Thistle Head Coach Mark Wilson said:
“We’ve been really pleased with the way Connor has performed through pre-season. He’s a very determined young player who is always striving to get better.
“Fans saw a bit of him in our open-door friendlies and I thought he performed excellently in both of those, particularly against Pollok when he made a great one-on-one save and controlled his box confidently.
“Going out on an emergency loan will give Connor an extra taste of the senior environment at a very important time for Pollok as they look to make a positive start to the new season.”
